My baptism was back in January and I never got around to posting about it. I have always been a Christian but I decided to take the next step and get baptized. This meant so much to me and I loved that a few members of my family were willing to make the trip to see it happen. It feels so good to have loved ones witness my acceptance of my Lord and Saviour into my life. My mom couldn't find the "zoom in" feature on my new camera in the heat of the moment so that is a teeny tiny me and a teeny tiny preacher standing at the very back under the gold cross.

Review: Essie Big Spender
Excuse any imperfections, I've been wearing this color for a few days and it's lasted through a brutal weekend. Note to self - paint nails after cleaning the apartment from now on. This is a great magenta color with beautiful shine. I love how rich the color is, it looks great on pale skin but honestly I think it would work just as well with deeper skin tones. The photo was taken with two coats of polish and one thin coat of Sally Hansen MegaShine top coat.

I'm Back...
I haven't posted in a month and if I don't do it soon, I may lose the drive forever. So probably the biggest life change taking up my time...I started dating someone. Unfortunately it is a long distance relationship, he lives about 4 hours away. We have it worked out where we'll travel to see each other 2-3 times a month but we talk for a while every night. That used to be my blogging time so I'm going to need to learn time management in the afternoons. Anyway I wanted to update everyone so you know I'm still alive and I will be posting more frequently.

Winter Wardrobe Staples
Scarves - an essential and inexpensive accessory. Many of mine were less than $10 from department store sales and Forever 21.
Long Peacoat - Mine is winter white and a pain to keep clean but it looks so chic I could never regret buying it.
Thin Cashmere Sweaters - I can wear these with jeans, slacks, skirts, etc. They work layered or by themselves depending on how cold it gets. The ply to buy depends on your climate, the higher the ply the warmer the sweater.
Boots - I think this one speaks for itself. I own several pairs but I plan on getting these now that they're on sale.
Tights - My favorite brand is HUE (work appropriate) and can be found at discount retailers like TJ Maxx or in any department store. I like the Betsey Johnson ones (I found them at Steinmart) for going out.

Christmas Presents 2009
Santa Claus was good to me! I'm not going to go over every little thing - especially the clothes and costume jewelry because this post would be way too long. Here are my standouts:
- Jerdon Makeup Mirror
- iHome iPod Dock
- Paula Deen 10 pc cookware set with an additional saute pan bought seperately
- Key Pendant Necklace
- Coco Mademoiselle Fragrance
- D&G The One Fragrance
